I love, I wish, I hope

I love....

Clothes. Always have. Always will. This is a problem lately.

Perfume. Lately I've been really into it. I love Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers and Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy.

Hoodies. Probably a little too much.

Movies. Just saw "Something Borrowed" I would highly recommend it! John Krasinski is hilarious!

Summer. It's the best time of the year.

Friends. I love how even though you go through things, in the end you always love each other no matter what.

Being productive. It makes me feel like I'm worth something.

Home. I'm glad to be back.

Moustache things. Nuff said.
Disneyland. It's the one thing I'll never give up as I get older.

Late night drives. It's fun, exciting, and adventurous.

Bracelets. They're so fun and unique.

Secret Life of the American Teenager. It's my TV guilty pleasure.

Fro Yo. Cheescake and Chocolate.

How things work out.

I Wish....

I could pull off these sunglasses.

I were better at managing money.

I had this backpack.

I would realize how lucky I am more often than I do.

The institute would put their summer schedule up.

I could be on the boat in the sun.

I Hope...

My grade are good.
I achieve my summer goals.

I gain some self confidence.

Freshman Plague No More!

First year of college? Done. Yeah try swallowing that horse pill. I had a hard time myself. It's been a roller coaster but the best roller coaster I've ever been on. I've learned so much about myself, other people and just life in general. I'm all packed up. Ready to head home. I'm glad I'll be at home but I must say I enjoyed feeling more independent than usual. Coming and going as I please, making sure I get to bed at a decent hour, organizing my life, planning things out myself. I guess it just made me grow up in a sense.

Murray should be interesting. There I feel like I'm always under a microscope, neighbors and people you don't even know constantly looking and judging but up here at the U it's like you can be who you want and everyone is pretty accepting.

These last few days have been bitter sweet, seeing my dorm room go from totally decked out to bare walls and a bare ceiling (yes the glow stars and planets had to come down). It echos, it reminds me of the first couple weeks before we were totally settled in. I remember when I first met my roommate, that was an experience. We had our difference but along the way I feel we learned to love each other. These past few weeks I feel like we've actually become better friends than I ever thought possible and I never thought I'd say this about a roommate I didn't know before I moved in but part of me will miss her. We have lots of fun and random conversations. I wish other people could see her the way I do, she can be lots of fun and she's pretty funny.

Even though this year is over I am happy to be rid of the everlasting Freshman Plague. I'm officially calling myself a sophomore from this day forward!

The Perks of Being Single

Why should you love being single?

Here's the list:
- shave your legs as you please
- slump around the house in any old thing
- the toilet seat issue... need I say more?
- flirt as much as you want without a worry in the world
- watch whatever movies and TV you want
- don't have to constantly build his ego
- don't have to check with anyone about anything
- spend your money on what you want
- control the radio in the car
- only one you have to please is yourself
- no one to fight with
- indulge all you want
- no sharing
- valentine's day costs less
- no jealousy issues
- control of the thermostat
- less pressure about body weight
- only mood swings you have to deal with are your own
- you decide how long it takes to get ready
- weekends are for you
- say goodbye to heartache!

Okay, it probably totally seems like I'm being negative and selfish but the truth is lately I've discovered how GREAT it is to be single! I have no one to please but myself, no one to make happy but myself, no one to worry about but myself. I don't look at this as being selfish but more as embracing the circumstances.

I have so many friends who have a "significant other" and truth is, I look at them and see how miserable they seem. Always fighting, crying, "missing" the other, waiting on the other, etc. Not saying there aren't good things because there are and I see it in many couples but really? People my age just seem kind of miserable with their significant other. I had never had someone tell me they were jealous of me because I am single until recently and boy, it opened my eyes! I was like yeah... I really do love this, I've been so happy lately and just enjoying life and doing things on my own time and schedule.

Now this is not to say that the idea never strikes my fancy because occasionally it does. I get jealous of other couples sometimes but it doesn't take long for that feeling to pass and for me to go back enjoying my carefree life. It will happen when it's supposed to but for now I'm totally happy and content. I just gotta get through school!

Here's to all the Single Ladies!
