I Have a Shampoo Problem

When it comes to hair. I struggle. Always have, most likely always will.
My hair is always the same length and I want long hair gosh dang it!

Do I color it? Guilty.
Do I blow dry it? Guilty.
Do I straighten it? Guilty.

I know. It's simple. Stop doing these things and your hair will grow. Nope, not for me. I like to do things the difficult way.

I have to blow dry and straighten or curl my hair. Trust me. I'm doing this for the sake of everyone's eye sight. If I don't do this I look like a poodle who went through a car wash on a humid day.

I guess I could stop coloring my hair but I like being blonde. My natural hair color is darker than I like. I'm pretty sure I couldn't even tell you my precise natural color. It's been that long.

Well lately, I have a shampoo problem.

I have gone through so many shampoos in the past few months it's embarrassing. I'm no hair expert and have no idea what actually helps my hair therefore I just try them all.
I usually use Nexxus and this whole spectacle started when I ran out of my Costco sized bottles. I wanted something new. So the search began.

The harsh Utah winter caught up to me. It was the coldest winter we've had in years. My scalp got super dry. Yuck. So I thought I'd try the new "Clear" shampoo. You know those new annoying commercials with Heidi Klum. Yeah, that shampoo. It worked pretty well but once my dry scalp was gone so was that shampoo.

In order to help keep the dry scalp away and help with dry hair I looked for a deep conditioner and came across this Loreal one. It was seven dollars. I liked it pretty well and I still use it off and on now.
Then I went and got my hair done. I found out one of her other clients uses Rehab from Lush and she said she noticed a huge difference in her hair. So what do I do? I went out and got it. Yup. I'm not sure how I feel about it. The smell isn't amazing, it's more of a minty smell, which goes away if you use conditioner after. I'm still using this one but I'm not sure I've noticed any difference. Like I said I'm not a hair expert and have no idea about anything.

While at Lush I got the American Cream conditioner. I used it once and took it back. I hated it. The smell was way too strong. It was super heavy and lasted a long time. It wasn't a smell I liked getting a whiff of. The lady grilled me when I took it back.

Me: I need to return this.
Lady: Why? What's wrong with it?
Me: Nothing, I just didn't really like it for my hair.
Lady: Well, why didn't you like it?
Me: I didn't like the smell and the way it made my hair feel.
Lady: We have other ones.
Me: That's okay I just want my money back.
Lady: Well, you're probably just not used to the luxury of organic, chemical free hair products. You shouldn't be using anything with chemicals you know.

Yep, she loved me.

Then I have seen some bloggers that use this Loreal Everstrong and like it. So while I was in California over spring break I got it. I honestly haven't used it much so I'm not sure how I feel about it.

So as if the massive list above wasn't enough I still keep looking. Freak, I just want long hair.

My latest find is this Lee Stafford hair treatment. I spent a good amount of time reading reviews and it was fairly mixed. Some people swear it made their hair grow while others said it didn't do a thing. Doesn't hair come from the inside? It seems to me that putting anything on the outside would protect and keep it in good condition but not make it grow. But I'm that desperate girl that will try anything for the sake of somehow getting my own long hair without any use of extensions. I still haven't decided if I should try this one or not.

Then there is also Wen. I've heard good things and I'm honestly curious about it. Anybody used it? Were the results good?
And then there's the ovation cell therapy shampoo. I hear adds for it on the radio ALL THE TIME. Who knows if it works. All I know is I want long hair, and I want it now.

Also, is there a shampoo rehab? I have a problem.

Spring Break Photo Dump

If I wrote it all out it would be miles long and my brain is not capable of summarizing right now so I thought I'd just dump my photos and call it a day.
 1. my dad hanging out in the "bus" as my niece calls it. It was cold.
 2. Somehow we ended up at Disneyland.
 3. It was empty. There was no one there and it was a Friday!
 4. We didn't wait in line once.
 5. It rained a little but I was prepared with my 2 rain jackets.
 6. It was my Dad's birthday on the 10th. We had cake at the track while he was racing.
7. Madelynn had a birthday but I didn't get to give her her present until we got there.
8. Opening her shoes.
9. Wearing her new Toms.
 1. We got one of the Xbox kinect dance games. Our parents kicked our butts.
2. Celebrating their win.
3. Mckinley's "I don't want to eat my beans" face
4. Staring the beans down.
5. My sister put this in her guest room. She could open a hotel. So cute!
6. We went to Boudin and I got my favorite thing ever. Sourdough bread bowl!
7. Hunter stopped to look at this. It had my name on it. I was shocked. I usually don't ever see things like this. They usually use a more common name.
8. We found this adorable chair at Home Goods. Madelynn liked it too.
9. Hunter had to make a Leprechaun trap for school.

1. There were wild turkeys EVERYWHERE. Including in front of my sister's house.
2. Playing with their Lalaloopsy hats on.
3. How we watch TV.
4. Baby maxi skirt. So adorable.
5. Crooked Lalaloopsy hat. Made by my amazing mom.
6. Wearin' those shades.
7. Yup. I spilled that. At Costa Vida. It was so terrible and embarrassing.
8. I got JT's cd 4 days before it officially came out. Way to go Wal-Mart.
9. We went to an easter egg hunt at my sister's neighborhood park. It was a mad house.

The kids after the egg hunt.

Little miss got ahold of my phone. She loves taking selfies. And pictures of her blanket.
I have more pictures of the racing that I'll post later. It was a way fun break!

Flight Attendant Say What?

Urban dictionary says a flight attendant is
"what a cheerleader becomes when forced from the utopian fantasy of school into the real world."
Funny.

Anywhooo on my way back home from spring break I had possibly the best flight attendant I have ever encountered. And if we're being honest, I've been on my fair share of flights. Too many to count.
This of course means that I have heard the safety shpeal more times than is healthy for any individual who has any amount of common sense.
I usually tune them out and dive into the latest issue of US Weekly.

Well if there was anything proven on this flight it's the fact that when you make things fun people are more inclined to pay attention. It started like this

"This my friends, is a seat belt!"

He continued

"There may be 50 shades of Gray but there's 6 ways to leave an aircraft. In case we have an emergency please follow the disco lights on the floor as they will lead you to the parties at the exits. In case of a water landing you can find life vests under your seat. Place it over your head and pull the tab to inflate or if you insist on being an over achiever you can inflate it by yourself by blowing through the red tubes. Then it's kick, paddle, kick, paddle, all the way to shore. If we happen to experience a loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will fall from the ceiling above you. If you are with a child or anyone who looks like a child, place yours on first and then proceed to help them. Place the mask over your nose and mouth and scream like a little girl. If you can't figure it out, keep screamin'. Screamin' means you're breathin' and breathin's the only thing that matters. ... In case of an emergency slides will inflate at the exits. Ladies if you see these slides grab your make-up bags cause you'll surely be on the news."

"The total time between here and ... well, wherever we're going, is 1 hour and 41 minutes."

After we landed in Seattle, it went a little like this

"If this is your final stop, yippee! If not? Don't move.
If you've enjoyed your flight we have Elizabeth in the middle, Don in the back, and my name's Jeff. If not well we have Adelaide in the middle, Cedric in the back, and my name is Jaq." (last part said in a french accent)

"Now be careful when opening the overhead bins as items may have multiplied."

"Believe it or not ladies and gentleman we are all getting off this plane so there is no need to push, but when it is your turn please do what my dad told me to do when I turned 51. Get out!"

I feel like this guy was pretty dang entertaining and had my attention. Maybe he used to work on the Jungle Cruise at Disney Land.

My Thoughts on Flying

Unfortunately, spring break has come and gone. I came home yesterday. Ever wonder what goes on inside my head? Yeah, me neither. I'm crazy and I'm aware of it. But if you do... here's my saga of coming home, first hand from Kylie's internal thoughts. I tend to talk to myself far more when I'm by myself.

"I'm going to be really early. Oh, well."

"Why are there so many wild turkeys around here?"

"Crap, I have to take a tram to my gate. I'm going to get lost."

"Don't cry Hunter, don't cry. Crap, now I'm gonna cry. Here come the waterworks."

"Yah! There's no one in the security line. This is going to be so fast!"

"No, you may not feel around my bra you nosey perv."

"Oh, you're going to test my hands for bomb residue? The only thing you'll find is the remnants of my cheeseburger and smeared eyeliner."

"Yes, because the 20 year old blonde white girl in jeans, sandals, and peach blouse, is definitely a threat to this here establishment."

" Oh gosh, that guy is weird. I need to leave this store right now."

"Why is Michelle Obamas wardrobe being discussed on the afternoon news? Seriously? Is this what our country has become?"

"I need to get a drink but I don't want to go back to that store."

"Oh gosh, he's still here. Please don't make small talk, please don't make....dang it."

"No, my planes not late. I just decided I could use a drink."

"Thanks, I will have a happy St. . . . Wait, who wishes people a happy St. Patricks day? And a day in advance?"

"Ooo he's cute. Wait, he's watching something. What's he watching? Rocket Power!?!?! 90's kid! He's automatically cool."

"You line up by number lady. Not that complicated. 19 comes before 20 and after 18."

"This is the best flight attendant ever!"

"I hope they don't lose my luggage. Last time I flew they lost my luggage."

"Seriously, I have to get off? and just to get back on the same plane?"

"Wait, that means she was looking at my notebook."

"No, I'm not an "artist" this, my friend, is my doodling."

"I'm kind of flattered"

"Can we leave yet? I just want to go home and go to bed."

"Dear Sir, don't roll your eyes. You picked your profession."

"Why is there a police car on the tarmac? The TSA probably called them to come find me."

"Seriously dude, I'm getting out my headphones and you choose now to start small talk?"

"Oh, you're actually pretty cool. Okay, yeah, let's talk."

"haha you love your iPhone like a little kid loves candy. Your daughter blocked you on Twitter? That's so funny and so so sad."

"People, you don't have to stand on the luggage claim, geez. Move out of my way. I'm gonna wack you when I get my bag off."

"Yah! Mom and dad!"

"Holy cow, my mom did SO much for me while I was gone."

"I feel guilty. I need to repay her somehow."

"I hope there's a parking spot for me."

"Ah, my bed!"

After Ever After

Alright, I'll start by saying sorry to be posting so many videos lately. Okay, on second thought sorry, I'm not sorry.
They're hilarious to me and after all this is my little piece of the web.

This one is just funny and the guy is talented. He obviously had a lot of time on his hands which resulted in this fairly impressive video. It's pretty new. Like as of 3 days ago new. So hopefully you haven't seen it yet.

You're welcome.
Now go live "Happily Ever After"
