Confessions of an Introvert

In a world where extroversion is highly valued I find myself a permanent introvert, and I'm okay with that. The word generally has a negative connotation associated with it but I can assure you that it's not always a bad thing. I would say I have been an introvert my entire life and it makes up part of who I am so here they are... my confessions of being an introvert. 

1. If a store is excessively crowded I usually leave no matter how bad I wanted whatever I was there for. Black Friday shopping is especially not my thing. 

2. I love being by myself. I cherish each and every second of my alone time. 

3. Small talk isn't just small talk for me. It's an extremely stressful and anxiety filled situation and my brain basically stops functioning. 

4.  I struggle with being social at school. When I go to school it's basically sit down, take notes, and leave as fast as I can. 

5. I like meeting new people as long as they approach me first.

6. I hate making phone calls, especially if I don't know the person on the other end. I don't really like talking on the phone in general unless I'm in a specific mood. I think texting is usually sufficient but of course there are exceptions to this. 

7. I need downtime to recover after big outings or events so you might not see me for a few days. I'll be around, just not social. 

8. The perfect weekend night is Netflix binging with maybe 1 or 2 other people. I can't even imagine the anxiety attack that would end my world if you put me in a club or serious party scene. 

9. Parties scare me and I dreaded dances in high school more than I care to admit. I didn't go to one girls choice dance. 

10. I'm generally happy even if I don't look like it. That look of my face is me in deep thought and over analyzing everything. That's just me in my own little world. 

11. I may not like talking to every person I see, but I can people watch till the cows come home. Take me to the park and I'll be content watching people stroll by. People are just so fascinating to me. From afar that is. 

12. I get attached to people. I don't open up easily to many people so when I do, I trust that they really care about me and I want them around. 

13. I would rather clean toilets than participate in small group discussions/projects in classes. 

Well there you have it, some more insight into my weird quirks that make me Kylie. Now someone do me a favor and write a "Confessions of an Extrovert" post so I can understand that side a little. ;) 

A Confessional

If there's one thing I always enjoy around blog town it's a good ol' I confess sesh. 

Which is what you're getting here today and I hope you don't mind. 

I should warn you that I am pretty darn sick right about now. Why do I always get sick right before finals!?! Anyways, I'm on a lot of drugs currently. All legal of course haha but this is a fair warning that I might not be completely aware of what I'm writing in this here post. But hey what's that annoying over used term? Oh yeah, YOLO.

I confess...

I sat and drank a Diet Coke while reading an article entitled "7 Side Effects of Drinking Diet Soda"

I bought Divergent a couple weeks ago. I wanted to read it and then go see the movie. I got to about chapter 3 and haven't picked it up since. I have every intention of reading it so I'll just blame it on being "busy"

I did my laundry yesterday. My sweat pants, pajama shorts, sports bras, and baggy t-shirts far out numbered skinny jeans and cute tops.

I've gone through an entire large box of tissues in less than 24 hours.

I'm convinced this gluten allergy and all this "gluten free" stuff is strictly a fad. Isn't it amazing how thousands of people came down with it all within the same year? I know there are people who are really allergic to it but it's just too odd that all these people have it all of the sudden. But hey, if they like paying 6 bucks for 10 wafer cookies... more power to em!

Abby Lee Miller's eye make-up drives me absolutely crazy. And her accessorizing reminds me of how I used to dress in the 7th grade. Sometimes matchy matchy and loads of plastic jewelry just isn't the way to go.

I never ever ever ever drink regular soda. Except for today. I wasn't feeling good and had a can of sprite at my house so I decided I'd guzzle it down. I set it on the counter by my sink where my laptop was also sitting because let's be honest, I had to catch up on my Teen Mom and Dance Moms. Well, you see where this is going. I decided to load my dishwasher and during my not so swift movement of grabbing something out of the sink and moving it to the dish washer, I knocked my cup of sprite ALL OVER MY LAPTOP. I was so pissed at myself. I cleaned it up the best I could. Then I spent many many hours today popping off every single key and cleaning all the sticky sugar off. I'm not talking just the key, I'm talking everything underneath the key too. I felt like a computer nerd. My dad would've been proud that I could take part of my computer apart and put it back together successfully.  But my keyboard is still not back to normal. I'm pissed. I don't know why I have to rock at life so much.

Some Friday Confessions

I'm telling you… Juan Pablo is commandeering this here blog. So let's mix it up and throw some confessions out there!

I confess….

- my life consists of 2 things lately and 2 things only. Hockey and homework.

- my hair is the longest it's ever been. I stopped blow drying it and it's amazing the difference it's made!

- I already have the Olympic hockey schedule written down and planned out. I'll have to get up at 5:30 AM if I intend to watch them live.

- I'm torn if I want to root for Canada or the US. I should probably root for the US and be a good citizen.

- I have been binge watching 7th Heaven. I would be binge watching Friends but I don't have the complete series of that… yet.


- I so wanted to see The Wolf of Wall Street. I was ready to go.. then I found out that there was about 500 f-bombs dropped and that sealed the deal. Didn't see it. I think I'll head to Frozen again.

- I hate Valentine's day but someone challenged me to totally embrace it this year, so I'm trying. There will be a separate blog post about this one.

- The guy that stands on the corner begging came into 7-11 while I was in there. He bought a pack of cigarettes with, I kid you not, pennies, nickels, and dimes. It's sad that when people give money to those standing on the corners it only goes to fueling their addictions.

- I'm on the fence about every single guy that likes me. I don't not like them, but I don't like like them either. Can I please just find a guy that likes me that I'm head over heels for? Please.

- I'm totally planning on watching the Super Bowl this Sunday even though I haven't watched a single NFL game this whole season. But I mean… funny commercials, good food, and Bruno Mars. That's enough for me.

- I have the most epic spring break trip planned! I'm so excited about it. I'll have to tell you guys about it when it gets closer.

A Confession Session!

- I dislike Snapchat. I just don't understand it. I don't mind getting them but I just don't send them very often at all. Isn't it just texting and picture messaging in an app?

- I have a new appreciation for balloons. Especially this one...

- I was way too excited for Daughtry's new album thanks to the song "Waiting for Superman". Perk of living in the west? Albums hit iTunes at 10 pm my time... Midnight back east. That's like a whole day earlier in my book!

- My car desperately desperately needs to be cleaned. Like bad. But I don't see the point when it rains every other day.

- I hate admitting this, hate it, but I like Miley's new wrecking ball song. Hence why this is s confession. Someone smack me. Puh-lease!

- I usually am one of those sticklers who is against all things Christmas until after thanksgiving, but this year that has gone straight out the window. I blame my number 4 preset that started playing Christmas music at the beginning of November.

- I'll admit it. I teared up when I watched this. It's less than 3 minutes long.

- I've been having some serious excruciating back pain since the beginning of this month. I tried to ignore it and let it go because I was more concerned about my dad. After multiple trips to the chiropractor and no relief I ended up at a back specialist. I have a torn disc. Ouch. I got a steroid shot in my butt and the doctor basically told me to not to go to my classes. Too bad that's more unrealistic than living on the moon.

- I've had 2 Slurpees in less than 24 hours. Yikes. Sugar central. Talk about diabetes in a cup.

- I have to read 100 pages in the next day and a half. I'm pretty sure my 7 year old nephew reads faster than me. 

-I like when guys use smiley faces in their text.

More Confessions

It's time for another I confess sesh. 

I confess....

- I miss the guys I met on my cruise. They were hilarious. I always looked forward to dinner time cause of them. Somehow eating mac 'n cheese at my place just isn't the same. 

- I want to go boating SO bad but our boat blew up! I need me some sunshine asap. I need to work on my tan... and my wake-boarding skills. 

- I have a purse addiction as of lately. I blame my mom. It must be genetic. 

- I wish I had a better talent for art. I really want to take watercoloring classes but finding them is next to impossible.

- I'm addicted to watermelon. The sour-patch kind and the real stuff.

- I thought I wasn't a picky eater. Then I went on this cruise and realized I am a very picky eater. My dad talked me into eating one bite of fish and I almost vomited at the table. And don't even get me started on that alligator he tried to get me to eat. Or the escargot. Or the frog legs. 

- Season 3 of Pretty Little Liars was just put on netflix. It reminded me how much I want their entire wardrobe. All of it. 

Which leads me to my last one...

- All of the shows I watch are driving me absolutely crazy but yet I continue to watch them. Go figure.
